My Berlin Fotomarathon

Earlier, I mentioned the event and my impressions from it. Now it is time to share the images. But first, a short recap. There was a motto for the whole day, to which all topics were bound.

Eines langen Tages Reise [Long Day’s Journey]

Topics were delivered in batches of four, every four hours at the particular location. It was possible to shoot all topics even in the very last hour, but pictures must have been taken in the right order – no mix/match/reorder was allowed.

Fotomarathon

12 Hours. 12 Topics. 12 Photos. A lot of movement. And quite some fun 🙂 Yesterday I participated in Fotomarathon Berlin for the first time and, I have to say, I liked it quite a lot. It was very unusual to shoot pictures for a particular topic, and it was very hard to settle on an image knowing that once you do it, there is no way back. Here, I probably need to explain a little: images must be shot in defined order. You can shoot (and erase) images in the middle between the “topic pictures” but at the end of the day you’ve got to have 12 images on your card, untouched, like if they were shot in sequence, each matching a different, specified topic. Oh, and by the way, there was an extra complication: in addition to the theme, first image must showcase your starting number, which will be used to identify sequence later. Easy, huh?

So, what are the stats? 12x Images successfully delivered, 35k steps successfully walked, 1x business card collected for future contact. Not bad for the first time 🙂 Actually, I am quite proud of a couple of images, I’ll show them later.

What else.. There will be an exhibition. With all the images, from every participant. 25 and 26th of July. So feel free to come and stop by the the number 211 🙂 Details here.
