Japan (Japanese: 日本 Nippon or Nihon) is an island nation in East Asia. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies to the east of the Sea of Japan, China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south. The characters that make up Japan’s name mean “sun-origin”, which is why Japan is often referred to as the “Land of the Rising Sun” – Wikipedia

Japan is different.

Landscape you see through the airplane window, music you hear in the airport terminal, food that is considered a healthy breakfast, and so much more. A little more than two weeks, and thousands of pictures. I wanted to remember, and I wanted to show, I wanted to tell the story.

Less Is More.

Among thousands of pictures, a few hundred are worth something, few dozens one could call ‘good’ and a few that I would like to see hanging in my bedroom. But If I show you only the latter, it will be simply not enough.

Life is in the Detail.

That’s what I believe. All those tiny-tiny details that you see around, the texture of a stone or the look on other person’s face – they make the story complete. They essentially tell the story. Details let you immerse into the environment that I’ve been in, when I was there.
