Kamakura. A day out of Tokyo. Quiet, relaxed and watching, eyes open wide. First shrines I’ve ever seen. And ones of a rare beauty.
I think this chapter’s name could have been “Second Impression”, indeed it was. After several days in Tokyo, I wanted some fresh air. I never thought I could spend hours in a single temple, but there it was – around three hours in Hasedera only.
Looking at the pictures now, I notice that most of them include details, only. Almost no wide-angle photographs made. One can only guess now, but I feel it was just so much to see, eye was jumping from detail to detail, camera following closely.
So, Kamakura. A day out of Tokyo. A “second impression” of Japan.
